Graduate Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are pleased to offer the role of a Graduate Teaching Assistant at one of our client schools situated in the Stockport area of Greater Manchester. The role will last the full academic year and is set to start September 2023. Our client could look to make the role permanent dependant on performance.

Pay: £1500 - £1700 per month

Our client is looking for someone to provide support its teaching staff across a variety of subjects, ensuring the school’s pupils are all receiving the support they need across ages KS3 and KS4.

Some important skills our client is looking for:  communication skills to liaise with the teacher and the school leaders to identify which pupils need extra support, you must be comfortable working with students with SEND requirements, always enforcing school policies and standards especially regarding behaviour and academic achievement. Your 1:1 and small group teaching skills must also be at a good level.

There are also various personal development courses are available for the successful applicant to better themselves via Teaching Personnel or internally within our client school.

The school was deemed a Good school by Ofsted less than 12 months ago. The report states that the school is ‘calm and orderly,’ the report is also positive regarding the school’s leaders ‘Leaders’ commitment ensures that all pupils benefit from a good quality of education.’

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
