Behaviour teaching Assistant - Walthamstow

We are currently looking for a teaching assistant who has experience working with autistic students at a SEN school in Walthamstow. The special needs school in Walthamstow cater to students with autism, challenging behaviour and learning difficulties. All students attending the school have a statement of special educational needs. We are looking for resilient and hard working individuals who are have previous experience working in an SEN setting or youth centre.

Permanent contracts will be available as of October 2018 for successful applicants.

Desired traits:

  • Must have previous experience working with challenging pupils or experience working in a PRU setting
  • Applications welcome from individuals with experience from Sports coaching , youth work, mental health facilities or primary behaviour setting
  • Must be able to work with pupils who may display volatile behaviours
  • Good behaviour management is essential
  • Provide employment references of working with children
  • Full time- term time 8.30am - 3.30pm
  • Immediate start

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
