Our client secondary school located in Wigan are seeking a Teaching Assistant to specifically support behaviour with disengaged pupils;
- Required to start from January 2018
- Previous experience of supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties and special educational needs is preferred.
- Working across all year groups on a 1-to-1 basis with identified pupils and with small groups.
Due to an imminent new arrival, certain members of the existing support staff at the school will be allocated to support transition of this pupil. Therefore, there will be an opportunity for someone to join them to raise the attainment and promote positive behaviour across the school. You will be expected to work across all year groups with identified pupils. This will involve working on a 1-to-1 basis supporting them to complete their work and prepare for the examination period.
The school is located on the border of Bolton which offers excellent accessibility from the local areas of Westhoughton, Atherton and Wigan town centre. It is also a short drive away from the Salford boroughs of Walkden and Eccles.
