Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for Behaviour Support Specialists in the Bristol area.

Teaching Personnel are working closely with an Alternative Provisions who facilitate learning for pupils in primary and secondary schools who have been removed from mainstream educations. Although these roles are challenging, they are very rewarding.

The roles are working with a child on a 1:1 basis supporting their Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), educational needs and social support. These roles are supporting the child on and off site which requires the candidate to be able to drive with access to their own vehicle.

The positions available are working from 8:30-3:30, 5 days a week term time only.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience of working with children and young people in educational settings. If you have other related experiences, such as sports coaching or child support worker then you will be considered for these roles.

You must have a GCSE grade C and above or equivalent. If you have qualifications such as: MAPA, Team Teach, SEN support or behaviour management then this will strengthen your application.

A DBS in child workforce that is registered on the update service is needed for this position. If you do not have a current DBS then do not worry as we can support you through the process.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
