Behaviour Support Mentor – North Manchester

Do you have experience of working with young people that display challenging behaviour? Do you want to support vulnerable students through their education?

Teaching Personnel are working closely with one of our client schools in North Manchester who are seeking a Behaviour Support Mentor to start as soon as possible. This role will last until the end of the academic year in the first instance, due to the school recently securing extra funding for a group of identified students.

• Full time Behaviour Support Mentor role required ASAP
• Role until the end of the academic year, with the potential to carry on in September
• Supporting a student on a 1:1 basis
• Earn up to GBP350 per week dependent on experience

Our client school based in the bury area of North Manchester is a mixed comprehensive secondary school that was graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted on their most recent inspection  in 2017. The school is located a 5 minute drive away from the Manchester Outer Ring Road (M60 motorway) and also has a tram stop just a 10 minute walk away.

As a Behaviour Support Mentor at our client school you will be assigned a student who is at risk of being permanently excluded from school and withdrawn from mainstream education. Your role would be to support the student during their time in lessons, whether that is in classes or in alternative provision that the school have. Acting as a mentor to the student, ideal candidates should act as a positive role model that encourages good behaviour and attendance. Both attainment and progress should then increase as a result of your support and encouragement.
