Behaviour Support

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Primary Pupil Referral Unit in Bournemouth. This school require a Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in KS3 with severe social, emotional and mental health difficulties. This position will be to start immediately and be ongoing until July 2018.

The setting provides part time placements to pupils experiencing behavioural difficulties in their mainstream schools and aims to return pupils to mainstream placements wherever possible. The successful Teaching Assistant must have a passion for promoting behavioural development in young people and must be able to act as a positive role model to the young people within this setting.

The school is a calm, nurturing environment and pupils are generally calm and engaged in their education.

To be considered for this role you must;
- have previous experience working with young people with challenging behaviour
- have a calm and caring nature

This position will require applicants to complete a trial day within the class as opposed to interview.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
