Teaching Personnel are working closely with an independent, co-educational, day school approved for up to 70 pupils from 5-18 years old who for a variety of reasons have not been able to sustain mainstream education: pupils have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and a range of additional learning difficulties including Asperger's, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ASD, ODD, issues which require CAMHS involvement and Attachment Disorder.
The school offers a unique and stimulating environment, where every pupil is able to make outstanding progress in their personal development & enjoy success in their education. The school lies in a spacious rural setting near Ashford, and attracts pupils from across Kent, neighbouring counties & parts of London. The school works to help young people achieve their maximum personal potential in all academic and social spheres.
Ideal candidates will:
- Assisting students with their educational and social development, on an individual and group basis
- Providing support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
- Building and maintaining successful relationships with students, whilst treating them with respect and consideration
- Work together with families and other agencies to ensure every pupil is valued, challenged and supported
- Have the highest expectation that every pupil will make sustained academic and personal progress
- Have a good understanding about safeguarding and working with vulnerable children
Banks Supply Details:
- Supply Bank Staff - Hours 08:45am - 15:30pm
- SEN Teaching Assistant
- 252 Pupils aged 2 - 19
- SEN - Profound and multiple learning difficulties
- Daily rate from £57 - 70 (depending on experience)
