The School Teaching Personnel have a long standing relationship with this School in Woking. The school has an average of 63 pupils on roll with boarding facilities for around 14 pupils and rapidly expanding. They cater for boys with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs with additional special needs such as Autism and Complex Learning Needs who have either been excluded from mainstream education, or are unable to access mainstream education. Ideally candidates who drive are ideal however is accessible by public transport but these timings need to be checked to ensure they run regularly to fit within school hours. The closest bus stop is a 3 minute walk to the school.

The Job Through Teaching Personnel we are looking to recruit enthusiastic, energetic and resilient people to join our current team of staff for September 2018 who are committed to improving the lives of their students. You will work as part of a team in a warm, homely environment where students are supported and able to experience a wide range of activities that encourage independence and acceptable behaviour in line with behaviour plans. The assistant team will be working with all students and responsible for supporting termly topics across the class which will be around 6 pupils per class and also 1:1 support. You will also work as part of the larger school team with teachers and therapists to share information and provide an integrated support package of education, care and independence training for the young people.

Minimum Requirements
- Any relevant SEN/Autism experience or qualifications is desired, however not essential so please still apply.
- Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate good behaviour management strategies
- A passion and enthusiasm to see pupils achieve their best potential
- Dedication to the needs of all your pupils, working with other staff members to offer emotional and academic support - A Child Only DBS on the Update Service, or one done through Teaching Personnel
- Good interpersonal skills and confidence
- Punctual and reliable
- Enjoys a challenge
