Behaviour Support Assistant – SEMH Focus – Bradford

Location: Bradford (BD area)
Pay: £90 – £105 per day
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term | Temp-to-Perm

We are looking for a resilient and passionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist provision in Bradford, supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is an incredibly rewarding role for someone who enjoys helping students build confidence, emotional regulation, and positive relationships — often making a life-changing difference to young people who need extra support and understanding.

The Role:

  • Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils displaying challenging behaviour or emotional difficulties.

  • Support students to re-engage with learning through tailored mentoring and behaviour support strategies.

  • Assist in implementing individual behaviour plans and de-escalation techniques.

  • Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies to promote positive outcomes.

  • Model calm, consistent, and encouraging behaviour at all times.

We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting SEMH, challenging behaviour, or SEN students (school or care settings).

  • Team Teach or de-escalation training (advantageous).

  • Reliable, empathetic, and patient approach.

  • Child or Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

  • Full-time availability – driving licence and own transport desirable.
