Behaviour Support Assistant – Huddersfield (HD)

£90–£105 per day
Full-Time | Long-Term | Temp-to-Perm

We’re looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant (BSA) to join a thriving SEMH provision in Huddersfield (HD area). This rewarding role focuses on helping pupils manage their emotions, build resilience, and re-engage positively with learning.

The Role:

  • Support pupils with challenging behaviour, SEMH, and additional needs.

  • Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage positive behaviour.

  • Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions to develop emotional regulation and social skills.

  • Implement consistent behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral leads, and therapists.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in SEMH, SEND, youth work, or care settings.

  • Team Teach or similar behaviour management training desirable.

  • DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

  • Full-time availability and a flexible, proactive attitude.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
