We’re currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistants to join one of our SEMH secondary schools in Salford. This is a rewarding role where your ability to build trust, support emotional regulation, and promote positive behaviour will have a lasting impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the classroom team to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Building strong, positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and trust.
  • Providing tailored 1:1 support to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Implementing effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies with a calm and empathetic approach.
  • Upholding safeguarding standards to ensure the wellbeing of all students.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have

  • Previous experience working with young people with SEMH or SEN needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate and resilient approach to managing challenging behaviour.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.

Requirements

  • A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Two years of employment references.
  • Safeguarding training (provided by us).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
