Due to a change in our client’s staffing structure, there is an upcoming need to help support those students at risk of exclusion during their time in secondary education.
This is a rewarding role in which the successful applicant will work with students who could be deemed to be hard to reach to ensure they are able to access the curriculum and avoid exclusion and disrupt their learning.
Whilst working as a Behaviour Support Assistant, the successful post holder will;
- Work with students on a 1-2-1 basis, both during lesson and in small sessions
- Ensure students adhere to behaviour policy and avoid disrupting their learning as well as their peers
- Help with the engagement of students both socially and educationally
- Be rewarded with attractive pay rates and the opportunity for professional development
Situated in Oldham, our partner secondary is a large, established secondary with an excellent reputation in the local community for their pupil outcomes. Since joining a recognised trust, the school has gone from strength to strength and during their most recent inspection, the pastoral care provided to students was graded as Excellent and comments on behaviour showed sustained progress in key areas.
The incoming Behaviour Support Assistant will work alongside both Pastoral Year teams, SEND team and teaching staff to help improve participation in school with an overall aim to reduce exclusion and ensure a focus on learning takes place.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
