An Outstanding secondary school in BL4 is looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their dedicated pastoral team. This is a full-time position with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

Your Role Will Include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to students who need help managing their behaviour

• Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff to de-escalate situations and promote positive choices

• Supporting students with barriers to learning both inside and outside the classroom

• Acting as a mentor and trusted adult figure to encourage engagement and personal growth

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with young people who present challenging behaviour (in schools, youth work, or similar)

• Strong communication, resilience, and a positive, solution-focused attitude

• Ability to stay calm and build rapport in fast-paced environments

• A real passion for helping students reach their potential, no matter the barriers
