Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Stretford

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Salary: £89 - £99 Per day

Job Duties:

• Providing support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
• Assisting teachers in implementing individual education plans
• Monitoring and recording student progress
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Helping students with personal care needs, if required

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Experience working with students with special educational needs
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team

Education:

A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)

Experience:

Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of various learning difficulties and disabilities
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies in special education
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs

Preferred Qualifications:

• First Aid certification
• Additional training in specific learning support techniques

Working Conditions:

• Working hours are typically during school hours
• May involve assisting students with physical disabilities
• Regular collaboration with teachers, parents, and other support staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
