Do you have expertise in helping and supporting vulnerable young adults and children?
I am working on behalf of a client school in Nottingham (NG15 postcode) who are seeking to employ a behaviour mentor to work in the pastoral team after Feb half term when the school returns.
As part of a dynamic and inclusive team you will be supported by experienced and skilled colleagues helping to transform the lives of young people. As a Behaviour Mentor you'll be working with students with various behaviour needs that need support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. The successful Behaviour Mentor will be working with students between the ages of 11-17 to create and maintain supportive relationships and reinforce the child’s self-esteem whilst promoting engagement and independent learning.
Details:
Part time, 3 days per week
Pay: GBP65-GBP70 per day
Interviews starting first week of February
The successful candidate:
• Have a thorough and practical understanding of issues related to improving students’ progress and ensuring equality of opportunity both in and out of the classroom.
• Use strong interpersonal skills including empathy and patience
• Effective communication skills to engage with students’ parents/carers
• Build working relationships with parents of vulnerable and complex students with behavioural difficulties
• In order to reach our most vulnerable students be prepared to occasionally work in the community or at home with individuals (KS3 & KS4)
The school offer a comprehensive CPD programme and support to take professional development opportunities across the trust. This is a tempory position in the first instance, with the opportunity to be taken on permanantly by the school depending on performance.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
