Teaching Personnel is seeking a Behaviour & Wellbeing Support Assistant to work within a specialist education setting supporting pupils who may require additional behavioural, emotional, and wellbeing support to access learning successfully.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, resilient, and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to education and reach their potential.
The role offers the chance to work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team while developing valuable experience in education, behaviour support, pastoral care, and Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
The Role
As a Behaviour & Wellbeing Support Assistant, you will:
✅ Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
✅ Build positive, professional relationships that promote trust, confidence and engagement.
✅ Assist learners who may experience social, emotional or behavioural challenges.
✅ Encourage emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
✅ Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
✅ Help pupils develop confidence, resilience, communication skills and independence.
✅ Celebrate progress and achievements every step of the way.
