Job description

Bank SEN Teaching Assistants needed

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs? Do you want flexible work that fits around you, while making a real difference every day?

We are looking for Bank SEN Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated pool of staff supporting specialist schools in Skelmersdale.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and complex learning difficulties

  • Assisting with classroom activities and tailored learning plans

  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment

  • Working alongside teachers and other support staff to meet pupils’ needs

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in SEN, care, youth work or education (desirable but not essential – training can be provided)

  • Patience, resilience and a genuine passion for supporting children

  • Flexibility to work on a bank/cover basis across different settings

  • A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
