We are currently seeking a competent teaching assistant to assist an autistic KS2 pupil who is currently attending a mainstream primary school in the West Leeds area near Pudsey.  This will be for a January start working in a 'Good' school and will continue on till the end of the academic year where a permanent position in school may then be offered.  

The child is based in a year 3 class of pupils and is currently receiving regular support from the class teacher however the school feels a 1:1 teaching assistant will benefit the child further. The majority of the time the child works in class engaging in group activities however on occasion you will be required to spend some time out of class doing individual work. We are looking for a teaching assistant who is confident in this role to support an autistic child on a 1:1 basis and assist a pupil who presents with challenging behaviours. The successful teaching assistant will have an energetic personality, previous experience supporting autistic learners and have good behaviour management skills!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
