Contract: Full‑time

Salary: From £170 per day (Depending on experience)

Start Date: April 2026

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring History Teacher to join our dedicated Humanities team. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to delivering engaging, ambitious lessons and fostering a love of History in young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering high‑quality, well‑planned lessons.
  • Inspire and motivate students to develop curiosity, critical thinking, and strong historical understanding.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and intervention where needed.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the History curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Participate in department meetings, professional development and whole‑school initiatives.
  • Support enrichment activities, such as educational visits, clubs, and themed curriculum days.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Has excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for History.
  • Is committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Builds strong relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Uses creative and dynamic teaching approaches to bring history to life.
  • Is reflective, organised, and eager to contribute to a successful department.
  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or is on track to achieve it.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
