Teaching Personnel is looking for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support to support several specialist education settings in the Rugby (CV22) area.

About the Role

We are seeking an SEN Learning Support who can provide effective, tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASD), and Processing or Learning Difficulties (LD). Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO, you will help pupils access learning, grow in confidence, and develop essential skills. Your contribution will help create an inclusive, nurturing, and positive environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted one‑to‑one and small‑group support based on individual pupil needs.
  • Modify and adapt learning materials to ensure accessibility and engagement.
  • Follow strategies set out in EHCPs and individual support plans to support pupil progress.
  • Assist pupils with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and behaviour using positive approaches.
  • Use specialist tools and techniques, including visual aids, sensory resources, and alternative communication methods.
  • Observe, record, and report pupil progress to teachers and the SENCO.
  • Contribute to a calm, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support pupils during transitions, break times, and off‑site activities.
  • Promote independence, resilience, and self‑esteem, celebrating progress and achievements.

Requirements

  • Willing to complete a DBS check or able to provide an updated certificate
  • Able to provide two references
  • Proof of right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
