Teaching Personnel work closely with a Nursery based in Eastbourne, who a re looking for an ASD Teaching Assistant to immediately join their team. To support a small class of children with their learning needs. The class have multiple special educational needs... Skills that you will need to require;
- Have Team Teach Training
- Some experience working with individuals with special education needs/challenging behaviour or a caregiving background (Personal experience is acceptable)
- Good Communication and Interpersonal skills
The Role:
This school caters to children with low needs, including children with high-functioning Autism, Downs’s syndrome and other mild learning and physical disabilities. The school is incredibly nurturing and take the time to properly brief, train and accept new staff into their ranks. Class sizes range from 7-13 children with 1 teacher and 2 teaching assistants, working alongside one another to ensure children are receiving an education which is inclusive and maximises the potential and highlights the skills of every child that enters the school.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience whether paid or personal with children with special education needs and have a passion for education.
Please be aware all teaching assistants are required to have an enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
