An opportunity has arisen for an Autism Teaching Assistnat to join the support staff at a school in South Manchester.

The role will focus on helping an individual (s) who suffer with Autism.

The given individual will hold prior experience with regards to catering for the needs of a child/children with Autism.

Those who have worked with children with Autism in a youth/community setting are encouraged to apply.

It is essential that the required applicant will  be able to adequately meet thw individual needs of a child/children,.

This role will entail have to deal with potentially challenging scenarios. It is vital that the required applicant is able to maintain a positive and upbeat attitude at all times.

Pay for this role weekly: GBP275 - GBP350

Length of contract: 2 terms from January 2021

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Helping teaching staff differentiate learning to ensure that the Autistic child’s needs are successfully managed.
  • Developing adequate educational resources, specifically for Autism and ensuring these resources are appropriate.
  • Monitoring children both within the classroom as well as across the school site.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
