Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Then this could be the role for you!
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our vivacious and hard-working staff. You will work with SEN students identified with ASC (autistic spectrum condition) or children needing speech and language support, on both a 1:1 basis and with small groups and will contribute towards a purposeful learning environment by supporting classroom teachers in teaching and learning.
The ideal candidate will have some experience of working with SEN and will have outstanding inter-personal skills. You will need to be patient and sensitive with the ability to encourage and motivate children as well as being able to work effectively in a team. Experience of ASC and phonic schemes will be advantageous, but not essential if you are willing to develop your skills and attend training. You will need to take into account children's learning styles and what motivates them to stay engaged, using positive behaviour management.
