A two form entry Central Manchester primary school (M20) are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join their KS2 team. The successful candidate will work with a child with severe Autism on a 1:1 basis. The child requires a teaching assistant who will be able to support them full time and will aid their learning in all areas. The school are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant who has a positive attitude towards teaching and learning.

This 'GOOD' primary school has a warm and vibrant ethos and aims to 'create and maintain a happy working environment for pupils and staff alike'. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and will have supported children with special educational needs, specifically Autism ideally. The post is full time and will start ASAP. The role will run up until the end of the academic year at least. The opportunity to work onto a school based contract may be possible for the right person!

To be considered for this teaching assistant post, you will:

  • Have experience supporting children with Autism
  • Have worked in a KS2 primary setting
  • Have experience supporting children on IEP's

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
