Full time Design Technology role - September start

An oversubscribed popular secondary school based in Portsmouth are looking to recruit a graduate or NQT to teach all aspects of Technology across Years 7 to 11. The successful candidate will be expected to teach electronics, computer programming, prototyping and aspects of physical programming. Resistant materials will also be within your timetable. You should be familiar with computer aided design and the Adobe suite. All Technology staff are required to be first aid trained and have DATA certification.

Love of the subject and an ability to inspire and stretch motivated students is essential. You will work as part of a dynamic team working towards excellence within their department. The school are wishing to appoint an NQT to their excellent programme to ensure that you are provided with the best possible training in the most important year of your career. You will be assigned a mentor to guide you through all training and observations and will be allocated mentoring time alongside adequate PPA time. Graduates are also welcome to apply, particularly those wishing to pursue a career in education.

The school have recently retained their 'Good' status in their Ofsted report. They pride themselves on the areas of Outstanding within the report including support from their SLT and teachers knowledge of pupils as individuals. You should be prepared to uphold the schools ethos and values in supporting all individuals to reach beyond their expectations across the curriculum and pursue their passion beyond KS4.
