Art & Design Teacher

We are seeking a teacher to join a highly successful Art, Design and Technology (ADT) Department. The person appointed will be passionate about ADT and may be a specialist in any area of Art and Design.

The department is extremely popular with a highly creative and engaged body of students who are passionate about the art and design course. The school have a high uptake at GCSE and offer both Art and Photography at A-level.

The ADT department is well established with highly experienced and knowledgeable teachers. They currently offer the following EDUQAS endorsed Art specialisms at GCSE:

• Art, craft and design

• Textile design

• Three-dimensional design

• Photography

The successful applicant will be:

• A subject specialist with an ability and willingness to teach across all of the Key Stages

• Passionate about the subject with the skills to enthuse our highly ambitious students

• ICT literate and able to contribute to the further development of ICT for both teaching and learning.

• A confident and highly effective classroom teacher, sensitive to pupils’ needs and with high expectations of what can be achieved.

• A team player who is capable of working closely with the rest of the department.

You will start your new role on the 20^th April for the rest of the summer term. This position is 5 days a week, 8:30am until 3:30pm. You will be covering a maternity leave and will be expected to take upon full teaching responsibilities.
