Apprentice Teaching Assistant – Chorley (Specialist SEN School)

A well-regarded specialist SEN school in Chorley is looking for a motivated and compassionate Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop valuable classroom skills while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

About the Role:

  • Location: Chorley (SEN provision for pupils aged 4–16 with autism, MLD, and SEMH)

  • Contract: Full-time (term-time only), fixed-term apprenticeship

  • Start date: September 2025

  • Salary: £13.75

  • Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

  • Qualification: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship (18-month programme)

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
