A well-established primary SEN school in Accrington is looking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a full-time, long-term position offering an excellent opportunity to support children with special educational needs in a nurturing environment.

About the Role:
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping to deliver targeted interventions and personalised learning programmes. You will work closely with teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, assisting with both academic and social development. Your responsibilities will include supporting individual and small groups of children, helping manage behaviour, and contributing to the overall wellbeing of the students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to pupils with SEN across a range of needs

  • Assist in implementing tailored learning plans and interventions

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members

  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development

  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Ideal Candidate:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience

  • Experience working with primary-aged children, preferably in an SEN setting

  • Patient, compassionate, and committed to making a difference

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
