Overview

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic ALN Teaching Assistant to support a range of primary schools across Cardiff. These schools cater to children and young people aged 3–19 with a variety of additional learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering tailored learning activities to meet individual needs
• Provide 1:1 and small group support throughout lessons and daily routines
• Promote students’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
• Assist with the preparation and adaptation of learning materials

Requirements

• No formal qualifications required – experience with children is desirable
• Enhanced Child DBS (or willingness to obtain one – support provided)
• Safeguarding Level 2 (or willingness to complete – support provided)
