SRB SEN Teaching Assistant – Specialist Resource Base
Location: CF23, Cardiff
Start Date: After Easter
Pay Rate: £92.95
Contract: Full-time, long-term

Are you a passionate, resilient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact? We are recruiting for a Specialist Resource Base (SRB) within a welcoming and well-supported primary school in the CF23 area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.
The Role
You will be working within a specialist provision supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including:
- Autism (ASD)
- ADHD
- Speech & Language needs
- Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH)
Your role will involve:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning needs
- Supporting pupils with routine, structure, and emotional regulation
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCP targets
- Encouraging positive behaviour using proactive strategies and consistency
- Assisting with personal development, communication, and social skills
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working with SEN or vulnerable children (school, care, youth work, or personal experience)
- A calm, patient and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Someone who is reliable, adaptable, and committed long-term

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
