Teaching Assistant – ALN Base (Mainstream Primary School)
Location: CF5, Cardiff
Start Date: Summer Term
Pay Rate: £92 per day
Contract: Full-time (via Teaching Personnel)
Are you a caring and resilient Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated TA to work within an ALN base in a welcoming mainstream primary school in the CF5 area.
This is a rewarding role supporting pupils with additional learning needs, helping them to access education in a structured, supportive, and nurturing environment.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils within an ALN base attached to a mainstream school
- Working 1:1 and in small groups with children with a range of additional needs
- Assisting with tailored learning activities and interventions
- Supporting emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviour
- Working closely with the class teacher and ALNCo
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children with ALN/SEN (school, care, or similar)
- Patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable supporting a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, and behavioural needs
- Passionate about making a difference in children’s lives

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
