ADHD/ADD Teaching Assistant Required in Mansfield, South Yorkshire

  • ADHD / challenging behaviour experienced desirable
  • 1:1 support and small group work experience
  • Must be able to be flexible across year groups from Nursery - Post 16

Teaching Personnel are looking for a TA to work with pupils in a through school based in Mansfield to start from October half term. The position is within a SEN setting and would be a challenging but highly rewarding role. This is a great opportunity to join a successful and welcoming school on a day to day basis with a view to enjoying a long-term opportunity.

The role will primarily focus on working with children who have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as well as other learning difficulties including Downs Syndrome and Autism (ASC), therefore we are looking for someone with previous experience; the school will also provide training and you will work closely with the parents in order to help the children achieve to the best of their ability.

A Team-Teach qualification or relevant qualification (e.g. MAPA) are highly desirable but not essential. Teaching Personnel also offer a range of CPD courses including Team-Teach, Introduction to Autism and Moving and Handling.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
