Job description

SEN Tutor Roles Available in Christchurch

TP Tutors is seeking enthusiastic and reliable tutors in Christchurch to provide tailored educational support to students with Special Educational Needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to apply their skills in a flexible role that has a direct and lasting impact on young learners.

Location: Christchurch and nearby areas
Hours: Flexible – Part-Time or Full-Time
Position: SEN Tutor

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver customised lessons in Maths and/or English to meet individual learning needs
  • Support students with a variety of additional needs, including SEMH and autism
  • Modify teaching strategies to ensure accessibility and engagement
  • Foster a calm, safe, and encouraging learning environment
  • Support students’ academic development alongside their personal growth

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
  • Ability to plan and deliver effective, engaging sessions
  • Local to Christchurch or able to commute
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a patient and empathetic approach
  • Awareness of safeguarding procedures and inclusive teaching practices

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
