Job description

TP Tutors is looking for dedicated and compassionate tutors in Bournemouth to support young people with Special Educational Needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored 1:1 or small group tuition in Maths, Science, and English.

Whether you have a background in education or experience supporting SEN learners, this flexible role allows you to make a genuine impact.

Position: SEN Tutor (SEND Specialists Encouraged)
Location: Bournemouth and nearby areas
Hours: Flexible (Part-Time or Full-Time options available)

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Create and deliver personalised lesson plans suited to individual learning styles
  • Work closely with students with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional needs
  • Foster a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment
  • Deliver sessions within students’ homes or community settings
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and academic progress

✅ What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND
  • Ability to tutor Maths and/or English (primary or secondary level)
  • Based in Bournemouth or able to travel locally
  • A patient, adaptable, and understanding approach
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and inclusive teaching practices

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
