Specialist 1:1 Tutors Needed – Bournemouth

TP Tutors is recruiting caring and enthusiastic SEN Tutors to provide personalised educational support for children and young people throughout Bournemouth and surrounding areas.

Location: Bournemouth and nearby areas
Working Pattern: Flexible part-time and full-time roles
Tuition Type: Face-to-face sessions

About the Position

You will work with learners who require additional educational support outside of mainstream classroom settings. Students may present with Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, anxiety, or disrupted educational experiences.

Your support will play a key role in helping young people feel motivated, capable, and engaged with learning again.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition sessions
• Develop learning plans based on student ability and needs
• Encourage confidence, routine, and independent learning
• Monitor academic and emotional progress
• Provide a safe, positive, and structured learning experience
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and professionals
• Travel to sessions across Bournemouth and surrounding areas

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience with young people is advantageous
• Suitable for tutors, teachers, youth workers, mentors, or SEN practitioners
• Empathetic, professional, and reliable approach
• Strong interpersonal and organisational abilities
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
• Driver or willingness to travel locally preferred
