SEN Tutor Opportunities – Inspire Young Minds in Bournemouth

Do you have a passion for helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning? TP Tutors is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutors to support learners across Bournemouth and surrounding areas through personalised one-to-one tuition.

Position: SEN Tutor
Location: Bournemouth and nearby areas
Hours: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities available

About the Role

As an SEN Tutor with TP Tutors, you will provide tailored educational support to students who may not currently thrive in mainstream education settings. You’ll work closely with learners with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, and other learning challenges.

This rewarding role allows you to build meaningful connections with students while helping them regain confidence, develop independence, and achieve positive educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and structured one-to-one tuition sessions
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs
  • Promote confidence, motivation, and emotional wellbeing
  • Support learners in reaching personal and academic goals
  • Maintain positive communication with families and professionals
  • Monitor progress and tailor support strategies where needed
  • Foster a safe, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people is advantageous
  • Backgrounds in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, care, or support settings are welcomed
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Organised, dependable, and committed to student progress
  • Understanding of safeguarding practices
  • Ability to travel across Bournemouth and surrounding areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
