Teaching Assistant

A friendly and supportive primary school in Penarth is looking to appoint a motivated Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support pupils both inside and outside the classroom. You will also be working in a Team Around the Child format with ALN students within the school. 

This role would suit someone passionate about education and making a positive impact on children’s learning experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils individually and in small groups
• Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
• Encouraging pupil confidence, independence, and engagement
• Supporting children with behavioural or additional learning needs
• Supervising pupils during activities and break times

Requirements:

• Experience working with children in a school, care, or youth setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm, positive, and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting young learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
