KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant- Bolton (BL3) (Little Lever)

Required from: May 2022 – July 2022 (with the potential of being extended in to the new academic year)

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in UKS2 (Year 6). The school is a small, Catholic Primary School in the Little Lever area of Bolton. The school describes the environment as a happy place where each person is known, valued and encouraged to reach their highest potential.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be kind, hardworking and have a good sense of humour;
  • Have experience of working with primary age children and supporting those with SEN;
  • Be qualified to at least GNVQ 2 and have good skills in English and Maths;
  • Have aspirations to help all children reach their potential and become the best that they can be;
  • Have excellent communication skills and be confident with key aspects of the KS2 curriculum.

The successful candidate must have experience of supporting children with SEN at primary level and offer patience and resilience. This role requires someone that is skilled in positive behaviour management and committed to inclusion. You will enjoy a challenge and enjoy working as part of a happy team.

The school is small in size and has around 150 pupils, with a large percentage of pupil premium. This school has on-site parking and is easily accessible by all areas of Bolton by public transport.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
