Job Title: Year 4 SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Primary School – Wythenshawe (M23)
Contract Type: Full-Time / Term-Time
Salary: £13.50 - £14.50 an hour


About the Role

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with additional needs in a friendly and inclusive primary school in Wythenshawe. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support and help the child thrive both academically and socially.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons and resources.
  • Implement strategies outlined in the pupil’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Liaise with teachers, SENCO, and parents to monitor progress.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (preferably KS2).
  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) desirable.
