Teaching Personnel are currently looking for learning support assistants to aid in Literacy development for students in the Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan area. We have long term and day to day roles available in the Secondary schools in the region.
Tasks include English language intervention/tutor sessions, and working on a one to one basis with pupils who have SEN, EAL, behaviorial issues, PMLD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, down's syndrome, Autism (ASC,ASD), SpLD etc.
If you have other relevant experience or qualifications in areas such as Youth Work, Coaching, Care or Social Work please send your CV for consideration as candidates with such backgrounds tend to greatly benefit from further experience that we can offer.
We work with mainstream secondary schools as well as specialist units attached to some of our larger schools. We also work with pupil referral units and special educational needs schools and can offer a range of different roles. Many of our support staff attend training in order to help them with Cover Supervisor work.
We offer a range of continuous professional development including Team Teach, Read/Write Inc, Autism Awareness, Safeguarding, Child Protection, Behaviour Management, Manual Handling and many more.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
