1:1 Behaviour Support

  • Do you like getting to know children who struggle with their behaviour in school?
  • Do you have great behaviour management strategies and techniques?

I am looking for a mentor who can work 1:1 with children who are at risk of being excluded from school due to their behaviour. Your support will be designed to avoid exclusions happening for these children, and facilitate successful re-integration back into to their mainstream classrooms.

  • This is an outreach role – you will travel between a small number of schools located in the Kingston and/or Richmond boroughs, supporting different children on a weekly rota basis

There is a whole team of professionals supporting these children and you will become an important part of a much larger whole initiative. Everyone works together for the benefit of the children, and although the social and emotional development of the children you will support is the highest priority, you will also deliver pre-planned packages of learning to support their academic development too so you must be confident with this.

  • GBP72/day pay rate – this is for a 1:1 session with a child in the mornings, another 1:1 session with a child in the afternoons, and possibly your travel between two different schools from morning to afternoon

We are a PAYE company and therefore we pay the employer half of your National Insurance contribution as well as your daily pay rate, plus a pension contribution. The service that you will be working for will provide you with a work phone, to keep in regular communication with the other staff and the head of the service.

Although you will begin this role as a temporary agency worker, we will also support you to apply for a permanent position later on in the year, if you are enjoying the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
