Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a 1:1 Behaviour Mentor to work across the Lincolnshire area. Do you have:

  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs?
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills?
  • Knowledge of a range of behaviour management strategies and techniques?
  • Caring, approachable, firm, assertive and calm qualities?

If so, we are looking for a Behaviour Support Mentor to support teachers and pupils by assessing the needs of children who require assistance in overcoming barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential. You will be required to work with a range of pupils who are suffering from:

  • Special Educational Needs
  • Special or Medical Needs
  • Challenging Behaviour

Your general responsibilities will include:

  • Devising, implementing and evaluating specialised programmes to work and encourage pupil's social, emotional and behavioural development
  • Planning and facilitating structured games and activities, to support pupils to make appropriate use of unstructured times
  • Contributing to the assessment of pupil progress, and produce detailed written reports outlining pupil progress
  • Planning and draw up approaches that could be used to support pupils both individually and within a group

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
