1:1 ADHD Teaching Assistant – A Carleton Primary School
Location: Carleton, Lancashire
Start Date: Immediate or after half-term
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: £85–£95 per day (depending on experience)

We’re recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with ADHD in a Carleton-based primary school. This is a full-time role working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support, helping the child access learning and manage daily routines.

The Role:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
  • Help the pupil stay focused, regulated, and engaged in learning
  • Use strategies to support emotional regulation and transitions
  • Work closely with staff and parents to monitor progress
  • Create a calm, structured and supportive environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children with ADHD or SEMH needs
  • A calm, patient and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (preferred but not essential)
  • DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
