Location: Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire
Salary: £85–£95 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: ASAP

Do you have experience working 1:1 with pupils who need tailored support to thrive in the classroom?

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated 1:1 ASC Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Poulton area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASC, helping them access learning and manage transitions
  • Implement strategies to support communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised interventions
  • Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and daily feedback
  • Promote a calm, inclusive and structured learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with ASC or other SEND
  • Strong understanding of autism and associated needs
  • Patience, empathy and a proactive approach
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
