A great opportunity for an understanding individual who is passionate for supporting the learning of disadvantaged young people and helping them reach their full potential.
A larger than average secondary school located in the Worsley region of Salford is currently looking to recruit a dedicated Youth Worker to support with a group of identified pupils aged 11 to 16 who posses challenging behaviour and struggle to engage in lessons. The pupils are currently working in the secondary school’s inclusion unit and require support with behaviour management and reintegrating them back into mainstream lessons.
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in the areas of youth work, disadvantaged young people or challenging behaviours and be able to access the Salford area.
Highlights of the Youth Worker role:
- Full-time temporary Youth Worker
- Starting ASAP – until the end of the academic year
- Support pupils with challenging behaviour who are at risk of exclusion
- A couple of the students are from a care background – empathetic nature required
- Working at a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Salford, alongside the school’s SEND and pastoral department.
- Earning GBP1200 a month (paid weekly)
The incoming Youth Worker will join a fantastic team of teachers and support staff who are dedicated to the learning and development of its pupils, all who have great potential. The school is a new build with modern learning facilities. This will be a truly rewarding opportunity for the incoming Youth Worker who is dedicated to ensuring pupils have the best chance of reaching their full potential, especially from disadvantaged backgrounds.
