Teaching Assistants – SEN & Pastoral Support
Location: Dorchester
Contract: Full-time – 5 days per week
Start Date: After Easter
Teaching Personnel are excited to be recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive school community in Dorchester after Easter.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in SEN support or Pastoral care, who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in children’s lives.
The Role
- Supporting pupils across the school with additional needs
- Providing targeted SEN interventions
- Offering pastoral guidance and emotional support
- Working 1:1 and in small groups
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
- Collaborating with a friendly, experienced team
This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday), offering consistency and the opportunity to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience supporting children with SEN and/or pastoral needs
- Patient, nurturing and resilient
- Confident managing behaviour positively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Committed to helping pupils thrive both academically and emotionally
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred (or willing to apply through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
