An exciting opportunity to work within the support department of a secondary school, supporting pupils in need of additional support to reach their full potential.

  • Full-time Youth Worker.
  • Required to start ASAP.
  • Support pupils with challenging behaviour who are at risk of exclusion.
  • Secondary school in Salford.
  • Earning £1450 a month! (paid weekly)

An average sized secondary academy in Salford is currently looked to recruit an additional member of staff to work with a group of identified young people aged 11 – 16. The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in the areas of youth work, support work or with pupils who can show challenging behaviours.

The incoming youth worker will join a dedicated team of support staff and receive a full induction to ensure they have the correct knowledge about identified pupils’ learning and development. The incoming candidate can expect to work with students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis with identified pupils in the classroom.

The secondary school is located close to Eccles near Salford and is easily accessible from the M62 and A580. Salford is also very accessible for candidates using public transport who are travelling from areas such as Prestwich, Swinton and Worsley.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
