A unique opportunity has arisen for a committed and passionate Youth Worker to join a thriving alternative provision school based in Liverpool. This full-time role is ideal for someone with experience supporting young people—whether through youth work, coaching, or in an educational setting—who is confident in building positive relationships and managing challenging behaviour.
About the School
The school is part of a respected cluster of alternative provision schools, designed to re-engage young people who have struggled in, or been excluded from, mainstream education. Students have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in place, and class sizes are small to allow for tailored support and meaningful progress.
The curriculum is rooted in Functional Skills (English, Mathematics, and ICT), and enhanced with subjects such as Science, PE, Careers, Internet Safety, Wellbeing, and Mental Health Awareness. The aim is to provide students with both academic and personal development opportunities in a supportive, nurturing environment.
Teachers follow a Primary model, teaching across several subject areas with the support of a centralised curriculum developed by subject specialists. Youth workers play a critical role in the day-to-day success of this model, supporting both learning and behaviour management.
