Pupil Intervention Worker – Alternative Provision (Liverpool)
Are you committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young people? Do you have the skills to support and inspire students in an alternative education setting?
We are looking for a dedicated Pupil Intervention Worker to join a dynamic alternative provision school in Liverpool. This full-time role offers the potential to become permanent and involves working closely with students who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Your mission will be to build meaningful relationships, provide targeted support, and help reignite students’ passion for learning.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver personalised interventions to support students in re-engaging with education.

Establish strong, trusting relationships that promote a safe and positive learning environment.

Work one-to-one and in small groups to address academic, emotional, and behavioural needs.

Help students overcome learning barriers and develop self-confidence and resilience.

Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement and review effective support strategies.
About You
-
Experience working within alternative provisions, SEN settings, PRUs, or similar environments.

Background in student support, mentoring, or intervention-based roles.

Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine commitment to helping young people thrive.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and encourage engagement.

Understanding of SEMH, SEN, and behaviour management approaches is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
