1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: North Liverpool
Start Date: September 2025
Position: Full-Time, with Potential for Permanent Role

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children's learning? We are currently seeking a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team and work within one of our valued partnership secondary schools in North Liverpool, starting in September 2025.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience or a strong interest in supporting children with additional needs on a 1:1 basis. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and SENCO to provide tailored support to help a pupil access the curriculum and thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support for a pupil with specific learning or behavioural needs
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and external agencies
  • Monitor progress and contribute to the development of individual support plans
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role (1:1 experience desirable)
  • A genuine interest in working with children with additional needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, nurturing, and resilient attitude
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are advantageous

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
